Provided that any resolution shall be subject' to disallowance by this Majasty and shall not be brought into operation until His Majesty's pleasure not to disallow the same, is known.

Subject to the provisions of this Ordinance the

Council shall be composed of thirty members, of whom

twenty shall be elected and ten shall be nominated:

6. (1) Each of the bodies designated in the First

Schedule to this Ordinance shall nominate the number of

members of the Council specified in the second column of

the said Schedule after the name of such body, and the

persons nominated shall be of the race or race group

specified in the third colum of the said Schedule.

(2) The Legislative Council may from time to time as

may be deemed expedient, by resolution amend the said First

Schedule by deleting therefrom the name of any body

designated therein or by inserting therein the name of any

other body or by varying the number of persons or the race

or race group of persons to be nominated by any body /

(3) The nomination of a member shall be notified in

writing to the clerk of the Council under the hand of the

Chairman of the nominating body, or other person holding

the like office in that body, and of the secretary or other

authorized afficer of the body, and shall state the full

name, place of residence and description of the person

nominated and the date and place of his birth, and the date

an which namination was made, and the notification shall

contain a statement that the person nominated has been duly

nominated in accordance with the provisions of the

constitution or rules of the nominating body. Every

notification of nomination shall contain a statement that

the person nominated consents to nomination and such

statement shall be signed by the person nominated.

(4) The nominating body shall forthwith forward to the

Colonial Secretary a copy of every such notification of

nomination,
